What is the application process for international students?

International students can apply directly through the GJIMT International Admissions Office. Submit your academic transcripts, passport copy or Government ID proof, English proficiency proof (if any), and a Statement of Purpose and related documents. Once verified, an admission offer letter will be issued along with further instructions for visa application.

Do I need a visa to study in India?

Yes, all international students require a Student Visa issued by the Indian Embassy or Consulate in your country. Once you receive your admission acceptance letter from GJIMT, you can apply for the visa under the appropriate category.

What are the accommodation options for international students?

GJIMT helps in facilitating off-campus accommodation options. Students can choose between rented apartments or assisted PG (paying guest) housing near the campus, based on their preference and budget. All options are safe, clean, and student-friendly.

Are scholarships available for international students?

How is the weather in India, especially in Chandigarh/Mohali?

India’s climate varies by region, but in Chandigarh and Mohali, the weather is generally moderate and comfortable throughout the year:

  • Summer (April to June): Hot and dry, with temperatures ranging from 30°C to 42°C. Light cotton clothing and hydration are essential.
  • Monsoon (July to September): Warm and humid with regular rainfall. Umbrellas and waterproof shoes are useful during this time.
  • Autumn (October to November): Pleasant and mild, ideal for outdoor activities.
  • Winter (December to February): Cool to cold, with temperatures dropping to around 5°C–15°C. Warm clothing is recommended.
